Are you curious, creative, and not afraid to get your hands on some Python code? Then this is for you - no need to be a software engineer or data scientist!Whether you’re studying engineering, natural sciences, or anything else, we invite you to build something cool, clever, and useful with Python.
Your mission: create a small tool or app that impresses our jury and can be helpful for other students, researchers, or industry professionals.
You’ll have the freedom to experiment, “vibe-code,” and explore your own ideas - all while competing for exciting prizes and the chance to see your work featured on our platform. Let’s make something awesome together!

The nihito platform
Submitting your project is simple: just upload your Python code directly
to our platform. Either submit a tool that already includes a web-based
frontend (built with Streamlit, Gradio, etc.) or simply provide a
function that can be called with clearly defined inputs and outputs.
From there, nihito takes care of the rest: we automatically wrap your
code, provide hosting and cloud compute.
The result? A fully shareable web app, securely hosted on nihito and
ready to run on the cloud provider of your choice. You’ll
see your idea come to life instantly!

Get the GenAI boostLLM API key provided by nihito
To make things even more exciting, every participant gets access to our LLM API - meaning you can integrate powerful language models directly into your app. Choose from the following models:
- Qwen 2.5 – 32B, Qwen 3 – 30B (for coding)
- Llama 3 – 70B (for general purpose)
Whether it’s assisting with calculations, interpreting results, or generating insights — the GenAI edge is yours to build into your own tool.
API keys will be shared with all registered participants upon challenge start.

Evaluation Criteria
Your project will be reviewed by nihito’s core team according to clear, transparent criteria. For us, it’s all about hard facts – no fluff:
- Functionality - What problem does your tool solve?
- Quality - How clean, robust, and well-structured is your code?
From December 15 to 19, users on the platform can also “like” your tool. These community votes will be factored into the final score – so don’t hesitate to mobilize your family & friends force!
